Cross Stitch and Appliqué

  • To help multiple strands of floss lay smooth, separate the strands before coating them with Thread Heaven® and coat each one individually.
  • Embroidery floss has a lot of loose surface fibers that may become embedded in surface of Thread Heaven®. We recommend using one box for white and very light threads and another for dark. Over time, the one used for dark threads will become noticeably grayer while the other will stay very close to the original color. You may need to replace the one used for darks more often.
  • Although licking is a traditional method for straightening floss, the mouth is very acidic, and acid may have long term negative effects on many types of dye. Thread Heaven® does a better job of straightening floss and it is acid-free.
